Tips on writing Info on Writing!

(No, I'm not writing this to sound like a pompous ass, or because I think I'm particularly great. I've just been reading and writing for ages...And I wanted to pull up a couple things, long story...Anyways, take it as you will! Flame as you will.)

1: Grammar is REALLY important in how things sound. For me, it's trying to avoid overusing ellipses, and run on sentences. Also...Very important! (see, I just pulled out a fragment and an ellipse...again!). Anyways, important: Try to make a new paragraph every time someone speaks...

2: Speaking of someone speaking...Try to avoid falling into the cycle of he said, she

Yeah right.

So those of you who have read my previous English Class page ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/34093330/ ) will recognize this.  Is this really everything they could teach you in an English/Writing class?  Good heavens no!  Could it get you started?

I'll let you answer that one on your own.

Grab the fattening snacks.  Or if you're a health nut, grab the fruit and nuts.   Or carrots.   Whichever.

Something that I forgot to mention in my last page (and a half):
There are more "Be Verbs" than those six.  Those six are the ones I actually memorized *gasp

Entire English Class in a pageSo, you wanna write...

You want to write for fun, or you want to write in anticipation of being professional one day.  You want to express yourself.  You want to put words down on paper...

No matter what the reason you want to write there are always going to be a few things that are always true:

     1.Spelling is a necessary evil.
     2.You will NEVER be able to express yourself properly without decent punctuation.
     3.Life sucks, then you die.  Smile and laugh anyway.
     4.If you're not having at least SOME fun writing, and getting a laugh out of something...it's totally not worth it.

When you download and unzip the file, inside you'll find a folder called "files" and a file called "START HERE". Double click the Start Here file, which will open it in your browser. (If not, Right Click on file, go to "Open With", and choose "Internet Explorer", or whatever browser you have. If no browsers are displayed, go to Choose Program, and select a program called "Internet Explorer" or "Netscape Navigator" )

When "START HERE" opens, click on the "web tao" logo at the top, which will take you to the HTML guide. I created this so you didn't have to go into the "files" folder, and fish for an Index file.
